Greenfields Energy Group joins Insider podcast to tackle rising energy costs for manufacturers

One area highlighted during the conversation was the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS). Liam encouraged manufacturers to establish whether they could qualify rather than assume the support was not relevant to them.
“Every single manufacturer in the UK should be assessing their eligibility for BICS.”
Liam added that even where a business ultimately finds it does not qualify, checking eligibility should form part of its due diligence. Where manufacturers are eligible, his message was simple: take advantage of the support available.
Energy is becoming increasingly complex, and manufacturers need to understand not only the price they pay for energy, but the wider costs, risks and opportunities that can affect their business.

The podcast also hears from two leading manufacturers about the impact of energy costs on their businesses, including how rising costs are influencing investment decisions and the steps they are taking to manage costs while progressing their sustainability ambitions.
